'OpenHarbor initiated with a visionary goal: to introduce real Neapolitan pizza to Paris. The Taylor family, established our quaint pizzeria in 1985, beginning as a humble, family-fostered venture with recipes passed down for generations.
Emily Taylor, our progenitor, acquired the pizza-making craft during her journey through Italy, apprenticing with renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—where pizza took its first breath. After returning to the UK, she yearned to replicate the allure of authentic Italian pizza, adhering to age-old techniques with prime ingredients.
From its origins as a cozy 12-seat eatery, our pizzeria has expanded into a much-loved neighborhood fixture, yet our promise to craftsmanship and authenticity has remained steadfast. We utilize traditional wood-fired ovens, prepare our dough from scratch every day, and procure the utmost superior ingredients available.
Presently, 'OpenHarbor is still nestled in the care of the family, with the Taylor heirs at the helm of our zealous team. Although we've adopted some contemporary practices, our core ethos persists: to serve delicious, true-to-roots pizza that unites our patrons.
